Never allow people's labels limit you.

Once I have open up myself to others I found  that others like learning about what makes me different from them. When I got to high school I begun to notice that most people wonder what could i do physical. I asked my gym if I could get out of wheelchair for some of the exercises. At first my teacher was unsure but I then asked her to give me just one chance to try to build my body strength.

Judgement/ Personal Struggle

As a young child I did not really notice that I was being judged based on my appearance. It was not until junior high that I being experiencing a personal struggle within myself. I wonder to myself why are these people looking at me like they can contact a disease from me. As I went through the next few year of junior high I begun to notice that the other students in my class had never seen someone in a wheelchair in their classes. I took it upon myself to educate others about my disability as well as others disabilities.

Ableism

Ableism is a form of discrimination against individuals with any disabilities. As a young child growing up I never that I had a disability. When I begun school I was put into a special needs classroom. All of my classmates had a disability some had physical challenges and others had mental challenges. Once I was in third grade my teacher Ms.Jones wanted to see how I would do in a regular classroom. She then went to the school principal  told her what she want to do so then they set up a meeting with my parents and a third grade teacher and made sure that everyone was in agreement with my teacher idea.
