Life after high school.

When I graduate from high school I knew that I was going to have an up hill battle to face. I applied to several college both with Houston and out of Houston. I got accepted into two colleges outside of Houston. One of them was Tyler Community College and Lamar University. I was really wanting to Beaumont Texas to attend Lamar University but my mother was not for my idea of leaving home and going off to school alone.
 

So I was forced to limit my choices to universities in the city of Houston cause that where lived at the time when I begun my college career. I only apply to The University of Houston-Downtown. I had to take the Accuplacer Exam to see what class I need to take my freshmen year.

                  Once my physical education teacher allowed me the opportunity to get out of my wheelchair for some of the exercises such as push up, I made a personal goal to continue doing these exercise out of my chair. As for my other classes I would ask my teachers if I could transfer to a normal desk for half of the class time and of course they were hesitant at first just cause they thought that I did not have control of my balance. 

         Now as for my other education outside of my physical one. In elementary school I was place in  a special ed class. In this class room setting I notice that all the other children were just like me in one way or another. As I move up in grade level I begin learn that all of my fellow classmates had different disabilities.
