Starting my college career I was nervous cause I knew that I was going to find out how I was going to successes in my classes. When I got accepted University of Houston-Downtown I had to accuplacer. This exam is minatory for all new incoming students if ACT scores were not high enough. When I meet with an advisor I was told that I would have to take nothing but development courses cause I didn't score high enough to be placed in all freshmen level classes.
At this point I begun thinking how my last 12 years of education failed to prepare me for college. Regardless of that I took the classes serious. I was not ashame to ask for help when needed.
